Charles Pelletier

Charles Pelletier Méthode Traditionnelle Blanc de Blancs is crafted by Maison Veuve Ambal which was founded in the heart of the Burgundy wine-growing region in 1898 by Marie Ambal, the wife of a Parisian banker. After his death she returned to her native village of Rully, where her brother, an owner and merchant of Burgundy wines, still lived. Rully is an area in the Saône-et-Loire department in the region of Burgundy in eastern France. It is known for its red and white wines made from Pinot Noir and Chardonnay and fine delicate sparkling wines. Eric Piffaut, great-grandson of the founders, joined the family Maison in 1980 and became its CEO in 1988 and continues to run the family owned company. He has continued to maintain the Maison’s dynamism through the quality of its wines and the performance of the production facilities. The elegance of this sparkling wine is the result of over a century of family dedication and commitment. For a Methode Traditionnelle, the natural sparkling process takes place in the bottle and the wine ages for a minimum of 9 months on yeast lees. It is during this period of time that the wine will gain in complexity and the fine bubbles are created
