Situated in northern Portugal on the Douro River, the surrounding Douro Valley is famous for the cultivation of grapes for making Port wine. The winery estate of Quinta do Pégo is located in the heart of Cima Corgo 138 meters above the surface of the Douro River. Grapes grown here are considered of the highest quality in the Duoro, with the entire estate commanding Class A Quinta Classification. The Quinta do Pégo Vintage Port is matured for 20 months. An intense ruby-red colour, it offers a delicate bouquet of black berries and has an elegant, full-bodied and well-balanced palate. The Quinta do Pégo Late Bottled Vintage Port, is unfiltered and un-fined and spends between four and six years in barrels before bottling. Deep ruby red in colour it has complex bouquet of crystallized fruits, oranges and honey with mineral notes. It is well structured with a full palate and silky but firm tannins.
