Simon Tolley’s involvement in the wine idustry dates back to the early 2000’s where he worked as a Vineyard Manager and consultant in the Adelaide Hills, prior to developing a 27 Hectare vineyard at Woodside with his parents.
In 2008, Tolley Viticulture, a vineyard management and consultancy business was established allowing Simon to further explore the various sub regions of the Adelaide Hills. In 2016 Simon and wife Narelle purchased and established a 13 Hectare vineyard on “Bird in Hand Road” that they had had admired for some time. This property is now home to the luxury 10-person guest house “Simon Tolley Lodge” and soon to be opened Cellar Door with panoramic views across the region.
Simon Tolley Vineyards are managed sustainably, paying particular attention to soil & plant health, minimising inputs where possible. Each year, they let the season play its part, managing the vines meticulously and aiming to grow the best fruit possible.
Simon is proud of his family’s winegrowing history & enjoys the ver-ending challenges of the viticultural and wine industry.
Today the family have Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Shiraz under vine and are committed to crafting, fruit driven, flavoursome and enjoyable wine styles that showcase this cool climate region.
