Water Wheel
Peter Cumming and his family have farmed the Bridgewater area, part of the Bendigo wine region, for over 50 years. Planting his first vineyard in the mid 1980’s Peter’s passion for winemaking culminated in the 1989 purchase of Water Wheel Vineyards, a well established winery with 20 acres of vines. Much has happened since, and today Water Wheel comprises over 300 acres of vines that provide much of the high quality fruit used to craft Water Wheel wines. Careful site selection, vineyard preparation and management, together with Peter’s passion for making distinctive wines, ensure that Water Wheel wines are consistent and speak of the earth. Water Wheel Vineyards are known for their high quality, outstanding value for money, fruit driven, varietal wines. One of Victoria’s most significant and well respected producers, they have a long history of critical acclaim and have enjoyed significant success at both Australian and International wine shows.
